Cleaning procedure for all Ozone Plates:
1. If you are in an environment where there are Fats, Oils or Grease, such as in a kitchen,
start with cleaning with Denatured Alcohol. We recommend using a soft bristle
brush. This will cut the grease without leaving a residue.
2. For all Plates - Clean with Ammonia to remove contaminates. Mix one part clear
ammonia with one part water. Put the plate(s) into a shallow dish and pour enough of the
50/50 Ammonia mixture into the dish to just cover plate(s). Allow the plate(s) to soak for
10 (do not exceed 10 minutes - excessive soaking can cause the glue on the plates to
detach from the ceramic). Remove and scrub with a soft bristle brush. Rinse thoroughly. We use an old tooth brush.
Let air dry for 24 hours or use a blow dryer to dry thoroughly.
The most common mistake made in cleaning is not properly drying the plate. Using a blow drier on high for 3-5 minutes should evaporate even the
moisture that can trap under the stainless steel screen.
A good rule-of-thumb is to service your purifier every 30 days. If the ozone pate becomes
cracked, discolored or screen lifts from the ceramic, the plate should be replaced.
Keep your purifier running smooth with regular check-up.
